Bodega Harbour

The idyllic seaside location offers natural beauty and unmatched outdoor activities.

Welcome to Bodega Harbour

A golf community northwest of San Francisco offering spectacular Pacific Ocean views

Located approximately two hours northwest of San Francisco, Bodega Harbour is an upscale community that offers golf and beach activities with fabulous ocean views.

The harbor was used from 1811 to the 1840s by Russian fur traders who were part of the Russian Ross Colony, or Fort Ross. The harbor and town provided the setting for Alfred Hitchcock’s 1962 horror classic, The Birds, and several scenes were shot using boats on the harbor.

Living in Bodega Harbour offers residents the feeling that they’re on vacation every day. The idyllic seaside location offers natural beauty and unmatched outdoor activities. While San Francisco is two hours to the south, the Santa Rosa area is an easy half-hour drive.

What to Love

People & Lifestyle

Living in Bodega Harbour really does feel like living in a resort. The main residential area is the Bodega Harbour Homeowners Association, which offers a clubhouse, tennis courts, swimming pool, and access to golf as part of its HOA fees. With all these activities, residents don’t need to wander far for some fun.

Of course, there are nearby attractions and activities, such as marinas, a boat launch, fishing ports, and a campground, as well as windsurfing and kitesurfing. The area is surrounded by natural beauty.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Although the general area is relatively small, there is fine dining available. Among the choices is Bluewater Bistro at the Links at Bodega Harbour, which serves up elegant American fare as well as sensational views of the bay and ocean. Be sure to try The Tides Wharf and Restaurant, which is located a few miles north of the golf course and serves seafood right on the water. Another fine choice is Terrapin Creek, a cozy neighborhood eatery located just inland offering American and world cuisine.

The pro shop at The Links at Bodega Harbour offers everything you’ll need for a fun, competitive 18 holes, including the latest in equipment from Titleist, as well as stylish apparel by Footjoy, Antigua, Cutter and Buck, Page & Tuttell, and Vantage.

For fun local shopping, check out Harbor View Gifts & Goodies and Tides Wharf Gift Shop.

Things to Do

There’s no shortage of fun outdoor activities in Bodega Harbour. For starters, The Links at Bodega Harbour is one of Northern California’s top 10 courses, with 18 challenging and beautiful holes designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. There are rolling fairways, undulating greens, and native coastal rough, all with spectacular ocean views. The final three holes are near the edge of the Pacific.

Doran Regional Park features a wide, two-mile beach ideal for sunbathing, walking, picnicking, surfing, and other nature activities. It also has a campground.

The Pinnacle Gulch Coastal Access Trail near the golf course is a half-mile path that leads to a small, picturesque beach on Bodega Bay. There are tide pools and a distinctive rock formation just offshore.

The Bodega Bay Fisherman’s Festival is an annual event that brings the community together for food, dancing, and craft booths while supporting local nonprofits.
